How did you guys meet one another?
Me (Maleficent Martini) and Mortimer Cain met when we were teenagers and we have been best friends ever since. We met our band members in London on the alternative scene.
How was the band name created?
Maleficent used to be my nickname when I was at school - Mortimer Cain and the band loved it so we decided to keep it for the band name. Maleficent is my favourite Disney character and she is me in real life!
How would you describe the music your band creates?
Alternative Glam/Heavy Groove Rock
What are some of the themes and messages that come across in your songs?
Living life as if there is a Revolution - Treat everyone the same - Be yourself. We are trying to give out positive messages to all the creative people out there that want to be themselves.
What are your plans for 2016?
Shooting a few more videos, recording the last parts of our album and starting gigging again.
Where can people find you on social media?
All our info is at www.maleficent.co.uk.
Finally, if there was only one album you could listen to for the rest of your life which one would you choose and why?
Maleficent Martini: 'A Beautiful Lie' by Thirty Seconds To Mars - this album gives me happy and positive energy. I love the band and it brings me back lots of beautiful memories.
also: 'Antichrist Superstar' by Marilyn Manson - This is a sexy and dark album that inspired me to become an alternative ballerina/punk rocker.
Mortimer Cain: 'Soft Parade' by The Doors - It reminds me of when I used to be a hippy.
Ory Angel: 'Somewhere Between Heaven And Hell' by Social Distortion - this is the album that made me a rock & roller.
Belle Star: 'Hardcore Superstar' by Hardcore Superstar - hard-hitting, great production, great songs, glam-thrash and full of attitude.
